Summary of Experince & Education

My dream has been to set up a youth camp with a historical farm & nature center here where we live and more of the camp on our property north of here. This dream has grown through my wide range of experience & education and these will be included in the youth camp:

v Graduated from Grand Valley State University with Bachelors in Education (General Ed., Emotionally Impaired, & Mentally Impaired), Masters in Special Education (Learning Disabilities with majoring in English/Reading Specialist and Administration).

v Taught in Public Schools for 28 years (Pre-School, K-6, Middle & Senior High School, Adult Ed, Youth Court School, & Migrant Programs).

v Went to Blodgett School of Nursing & worked in nursing homes & hospitals, while going to Grace Bible College; wanted to be a missionary but back operations caused problems, so then went back to school for teaching. Received Bachelors Majoring in Science from Jordan College.

v Worked or volunteered for many different organizations over the years including being 4-H Community Coordinator for 3 years, managing homes for the impaired, being a foster parent.

v Now working at hopefully & prayerfully setting-up new programs–

· I am fairly new to social internet.

o I started a FaceBook account to reconnect & stay connected to family & friends from the past.

o I sat up a MySpace account to check out games that would be educational for students; I have not found time to work with it though.

o I sat up a Christian.com & a Christian.org account to make new Christian friends from all around the world and so that I can pray for their ministries. Again, I have trouble finding time to check in there.

o I sat up a Twitter account and a LinkedIn account to find new individuals & groups that were doing things that I am interested in; mainly I am just following & reading others comments on these at this time. But, again, not finding time to be on Linkedln.

o I set up blogs for Christian Living and now a personal blogs on Blogspot having to do with Camp Dream, I had not done much blogging as of yet but looking again for others blogs to follow that in my interest area. Hopefully to start finding time to work on the blogs.

· In the past, my work kept me busy and I was not able to enjoy many of my interests, now that I have retired and on account of health reasons, am not able to get out as much, I hope to have time for more activities in my interest areas.

· I enjoy learning new things, learning from others, finding new interesting things to share with students, learning better ways of teaching / learning, and reading about others unique experiences.

· When the weather is nicer out, I will put some of these computer and other indoor activities on the back burner until the following winter and get outside to take care of many needed outdoor projects.

· Right now, most of my time is taken up with family, household & farm chores, and working on the setting up of my Camp Dream which includes writing it's curriculum.

Please read our Bio which explains what and who we are. I put the information on the Bio instead of taking space on each blog. We have set up different blogs with different interest areas. We have our first five: Christian Living Home, C.L. Ministries, C.L. Services, C.L. Fellowship, and C.L. Missions; and then we have our twelve interest blogs: Education, Environment, Arts & Crafts, The Arts, Cooking, Gardening, Pets, Farms, Health, Sewing, Home Businesses, and Interior Decorating & Landscaping. We will have articles / posts on each, but I also want to invite you to share your ideas on these topics here also.

Thank You, Nellie Dezinski

P.S. We are starting three more blogs: C.L. Family Living, Nature/Culture/Historical Center & Camp Programs, and Christian Guidance. I am sitting up the blog pages with help from Dr. NaomiLeah Thompson
